Ashley Newman, FNP-C, is a board-certified nurse practitioner with a special interest in orthopedics. As an important part of the care team, she works closely with the orthopedic surgeons to care for both new patients and post-surgical patients who are receiving follow-up care after joint replacement surgery.
Newman received her bachelor’s in health management with an emphasis in athletic training from Southeast Missouri State University. She continued her education with her bachelor's in nursing from Methodist University and her master's in nursing from Maryville University.
She has worked in a variety of roles, including in physical therapy clinics, where she provided coverage for various sporting events in the community for five years before pursuing a career in nursing. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked in the operating room as a nurse for six years.
Newman is a native of Poplar Bluff and she is proud to serve her hometown and community. When not at work, she enjoys spending time on the river, riding side by sides, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
