About
Interventional Cardiologist Michael Lim, M.D., FACC, FAHA, FSCAI, has joined the medical staff of Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center and joined the practice of Regional Physician Services in the Cardiovascular Institute of Southern Missouri. Dr. Lim’s areas of interest include a wide array of disorders, such as coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy, structural heart disease, acute myocardial infarction and cardiogenic shock.
Dr. Lim comes with extensive training and education, most recently as co-director of Saint Louis University Center for Comprehensive Cardiovascular Care. He also served as director of the division of cardiology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory, and co-chairman of the acute myocardial infarction treatment improvement team. Additionally, Dr. Lim has served as chief of the catheterization lab and a professor at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ.
He received his medical degree from Wayne State University and internal medicine training at Indiana University, where he also served as chief medical resident. Dr. Lim completed his cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, MI.
Dr. Lim has authored a myriad of articles featured in peer-reviewed publications such as The Journal of The American Medical Association, The Journal of The American College of Cardiology, and The Journal of The American College of Physicians. He is a fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, The American College of Cardiology and The American Heart Association. He’s been awarded the Best Doctors in America Distinction.
